The farm itself was a charming sight, with sheep grazing peacefully. The information book provided in the living room was incredibly useful for exploring the neighborhood, and I highly recommend a visit to the nearby Eriksstadir museum. The location is secluded, peaceful, and perfect for couples, singles, or quiet families. The cottage itself was sweet, cozy, and felt very private and safe. The kitchenette had everything we needed, the bed was very comfortable, and the shared showers were surprisingly spacious and clean. The addition of a washing machine was a rare and convenient bonus. a truly lovely stay.

There were a few minor inconveniences during the stay. the front door did not close properly, leading to it banging in strong winds throughout the night.

We had an amazing stay at this cute and cozy cabin at Stora-Vatnshorn. It was the perfect value for money with all the facilities we needed, including wifi. The location surrounded by mountains, horses, and sheep was absolutely picturesque. The hosts, a lovely family, were very kind and helpful throughout our stay. Easy to find. Welcoming host. Well-equipped kitchen with dishwasher. Washing machine, but no English instructions. Comfortable bed, TV, and outstanding view from porch, bedroom, and bathroom. Everything needed for a perfect stay.

The cabin had a beautiful countryside view, which was a definite plus. The fact that there was a kitchenette allowed us to cook our own meals and save some money. the owner was very friendly and helpful when it came to providing directions.
